Kindergarten Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to have your child join Soaring Hawk this fall as a Kindergartener. This is just a reminder that the Kindergarten year will begin a little differently this year. Kindergarten students will not begin full days of school until Thursday, August 12th.
Kindergarten students will be assigned a half day (according to last name) to come in and transition into classrooms with a group of students on Monday, August 9th or Tuesday, August 10th. Then, Wednesday, August 11th, there will be no school for Kindergarten students as the day will serve as a planning day for Kindergarten teachers. Teachers will use the information they collect when they meet with transition groups and plan for targeted and individualized instruction in the first weeks of school. Teacher assignments will be available via the Parent Portal for Kindergarten on Wednesday, August 11th at 3:00pm.
Your child’s last name determines the day and time he/she should attend school on Monday or Tuesday. Your child’s transition day assignment is:
● Monday, August 9 - 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Last names A-Go)
● Monday, August 9 - 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Last names Gr-Kec)
● Tuesday, August 10 - 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Last names Kel-R)
● Tuesday, August 10 - 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 pm. (Last names S-Z)
