Speech Language

Tammy Lehn, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Lehn

As a child, I was in speech therapy.  My teacher’s name was Miss Siss and you guessed it, I couldn’t say my “s”s!  I graduated from speech when I could say her name.  To this day, my students enjoy looking at my childhood speech books and are encouraged when they see ALL the sounds that  Mrs. Lehn struggled with.  I always say, “We’re all working on something ~ it’s all good!” In 1994, I graduated from Douglass College at Rutgers University with a BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and in 1997 earned my Masters of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from William Paterson University.  I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Speech Language Pathology license from the State of Colorado.  I have served as a Speech Language Pathologist in the following settings: private school for deaf and hard of hearing students, VA Hospital, rehab and skilled nursing facilities, private practice, therapy clinics, home health, a school district in New Jersey specializing in Autism, and I'm entering my 17th year as an SLP here at Soaring Hawk Elementary in Douglas County School District.  I am at SHE part time. My husband, Chris, and I have two grown sons, Josh and Jesse, who both attended Soaring Hawk and have since graduated college.  When I'm not at SHE, I am working alongside my family at our food company, Yumbana Gluten Free.  Looking forward to a great year ahead.   I can be reached best via email at [email protected].
