Fifth Grade
We are excited to be teaming up to help your fifth grader learn and grow this year! In fifth grade, we explore topics like exploration, the American colonies, and the American Revolution. During our financial literacy lessons, we will visit AmeriTowne to put learning into action. In science, we focus on all types of matter and space, making lessons hands-on and engaging.
Annabelle Meyer
Hello and welcome to 5th grade! I'm Annabelle Meyer and I am excited to meet and teach you all! I am a born and raised Coloradan who graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in New Literacies. I joined Douglas County in 2025 and am so excited to teach your kiddos. In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies and TV, hanging out with friends, and going to concerts. My family includes me, my boyfriend, and a little white dog named Casper. I believe that every child can and will succeed with the right support and I hope to be a part of that support team. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
Paul Lopez
I love spending time with family and friends, whether it’s diving into a book about past American Presidents or enjoying fishing and hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Scott, my son, is a sergeant in the military, proudly serving our country alongside his wife Kieran in Mortuary Affairs. My daughter Noelle is in graduate school at UCCS, working toward becoming a clinical or school counselor.
Recently, I completed another half marathon and am always looking to improve. Being a lifelong learner is important to me. As a well-rounded teacher, I’m truly excited to be part of the Soaring Hawk community, where I can inspire and challenge kids every day to grow and become the very best versions of themselves.
Kerri Moller
Hello! My name is Mrs. Moller. I grew up in Washington and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in education. I spent eight wonderful years teaching in Utah before my family and I relocated to beautiful Colorado. I'm excited to be part of this school community and to be teaching 5th grade this year!
As an educator, I’m passionate about creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. I especially love helping students build confidence in themselves as learners and encouraging curiosity, creativity, and kindness.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three kids, and our dog, Cooper. We love exploring Colorado’s outdoors, going on hikes and walks, and making memories together. I also enjoy cooking, singing, playing games with my family, and finding fun new places to visit.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year full of learning, laughter, and growth!
