Sixth Grade

We are so excited to teach your growing 6th graders this year and help prepare them for the next phase of their education! In our classes, 6th graders will learn not only how to calculate surface area, divide decimals, describe a story's central idea, form arguments  and everything in between, but they will also learn how to be respectful and productive community members. 6th grade will also visit International Towne and Stone Canyon outdoor Education to continue to grow and practice their positive character traits!

Caitlin Snyder

I am Mrs. Snyder (formally Miss Dougherty). Sixth grade is my favorite age to teach and I am so happy to be here at SHE! I enjoy spending my free time with my family, running with my dog, Nova, skiing, or reading a good book.

Michaela Lange

I am a Colorado Native and love my home state! Especially our Hockey team the Colorado Avalanche. I am a HUGE hockey fan. From Pre-K through High school I was a student in the Douglas County School District and went to college at The University of Colorado Denver. At home I have one doggy, 4 snakes, and 3 geckos! I am not only an animal nerd but I'm also a huge Harry Potter, Disney, AND Star Wars nerd. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, cooking and baking, and spending time with my loved ones! This will be my 3rd year teaching 6th grade at Soaring Hawk and I love our community!

Tonya Tuley

I was born and raised in Rapid City, SD. I am the youngest of four children. After graduating from Montana State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, I spent six years in the mid-west and ten years in Wyoming before settling in Parker in 2007.  I have two grown children. I have been working in DCSD for over 10 years. I taught sixth grade math and science at Cherokee Trail Elementary in Parker before taking a sixth grade teaching position at SHE.  I am so looking forward to teaching sixth grade at Soaring Hawk!
