Third Grade
Welcome to 3rd grade at SHE! This year students will be learning all about animal life cycles, multiplication, learning to research, fossils and so much more. We are a new team this year, but are so excited to help your child grow and succeed, in every aspect possible!
Audrey McDowell
I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with your third grader and to teach and learn with a phenomenal third-grade team! This is my 29th year in education, and I have experience teaching 2-6 grades. I hold a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in social studies, from Florida Southern College and a MA in Technology in Education from Lesley University. I moved to Castle Rock from Littleton in 2017, and I love living here and being closer to my workplace. I enjoy playing soccer, reading and being in the company of my friends and family. I feel very fortunate to work with such wonderful staff, students, and parents at Soaring Hawk.
Misty Douglas
Hello! I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Mathematics. While I love teaching all subjects, I have a particular joy for building students’ confidence in math. Teaching is my passion and I am so excited to be a 3rd grade teacher at Soaring Hawk Elementary this year! My family consists of me, my partner, and my sweet cat, Sira. In my free time, I love doing puzzles, crafting, spending time with my family, and listening to Taylor Swift.
Katie Davidson
My name is Katie Davidson and I am so excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher. This will be my 12th year teaching. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 4th grade previously. I spent 9 years previously at Soaring Hawk and I am so excited to be back! I have a 2 year old son, who keeps me busy and I enjoy reading and baking.
