One of our 6th grade students, Braden, spearheaded Treats for Troops at Soaring Hawk this year. Braden collected candy donations shortly after Halloween to be brought to the USO at Fort Carson. We were all surprised at the generosity of our school community in the week we collected candy. In fact, we collected over 500 pounds of treats to share with the military overseas! The USO was incredibly grateful and knew the soldiers fighting abroad would appreciate a little taste from home. Thank you, Braden, for doing such a fine job with this community service project!
