Tiffany Greenway - Significant Needs
Greenway My Beautiful Family

Tiffany Greenway here!! I am the Learning Specialist for our Significant Needs Students here at Soaring Hawk. I was born in Limestone, Maine, and have traveled the world as a military brat. Finally, my family settled down in Georgia. I graduated from Georgia College & State University with a B.S. in Special Education and later received my Masters in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for Elementary Education.  I have been teaching in Douglas County for 14 years and have loved every minute. I have worked in both mild/moderate and significant needs programs.  Soaring Hawk has been my home for the past 4 years. One of my favorite quotes that drives my passion for teaching is "The most interesting people you'll find are ones that don't fit into your average cardboard box. They'll make what they need, they'll make their own boxes." -Dr. Temple Grandin

Danielle Kolojay - Moderate Needs

My name is Danielle Kolojay and I am the luckiest teacher on this planet to be a Moderate Needs Interventionist at Soaring Hawk. I was born in New York and raised in Connecticut. I graduated from Union College in New York many, many years ago, and then moved to Boston where I worked really hard to get a dual Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I am a Certified Dyslexia Interventionist and Wilson Reading specialist. This will be my 14th year at SHE and my 20th year of teaching and I absolutely LOVE what I do!  I live about twenty minutes north of Castle Rock with my husband Dave, our two children, Jordyn (16) and Breck (14), and our dog, Duke.

Peggy Owen - IEP and Assessment Specialist
Owen

Hello! My name is Peggy Owen and I am the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and Assessment Specialist. That means I schedule and facilitate IEP meetings, and keep the paperwork in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. I also do academic testing with students when it is necessary.  I share my time between Soaring Hawk Elementary and Sedalia Elementary. We have a cohesive special education team who works closely together to provide the best support possible for the students of Soaring Hawk. Honestly, this is one of the VERY BEST teams I have had the pleasure of working with in my career!  This is my 15th year with Douglas County Schools and my 7th at Soaring Hawk.

I grew up in northern Indiana and moved to Colorado -again-in 2007. I graduated from Manchester College, (North Manchester, IN) with a B. S. in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Special Education from Adams State College (Alamosa, CO) a few years later. I am a certified Wilson Reading Interventionist, and am trained in Lindamood Bell Reading Interventions.  I have taught first, third and fourth grades as well as special education in Kansas, Ohio, and Colorado. Over the course of my career, I have taught the children of suburbanites, farmers, rabbis, millionaires, cowboys, and prostitutes. Oh, the world is an interesting place!  I firmly believe that all people are doing the best they can, given their unique circumstances.

My husband, Dave, and I have three adult children—none of whom live in Colorado. My hobbies include reading, embroidering, learning to quilt, writing, and walking/hiking.
