MTSS/READ Act Coordinator

MTSS coordinator
Steph Brink

Hello! I'm Stephanie Brink. This is my fifth year at Soaring Hawk and my 18th year in education! I coordinate our Response to Intervention practices, provide reading interventions through Orton Gillingham methodology, and manage READ plans. I absolutely LOVE my job because I get to work with kids to see them gain confidence and skill in reading. As part of our Response to Intervention practices, I am able to support our amazing educators in identifying when kids encounter a bump in the road as they are growing in academics and behavioral skills. When kids encounter a barrier in academics or behavior, our team changes up what we do to make sure every kid has every opportunity to make growth. This means that we put in a variety of supports, or interventions, to pinpoint what strategies will help each student to soar past that barrier.

Prior to Soaring Hawk, I taught music for ten years and was an elementary school administrator for four years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education K-12 from Western Colorado University in 2004 and my Masters in Educational Administration from University of Phoenix in 2012.

I live in Castle Rock with my super amazing husband and three energetic kiddos, ages 9, 7, and 4. We love exploring Colorado through hiking, paddle boarding, mountain biking and road biking. We spend our time in the mountains and at our kiddos' soccer and baseball games.
